Conference Purpose

The overarching goal of this third annual conference is to offer all incoming freshmen and new transfers students the opportunity to:

• Become familiar with university expectations, essential academic skills, and campus resources
• Build community by connecting with faculty, staff, and fellow students before the academic year begins

In doing so, the conference is intended to provide students who are new to UC Merced with a foundation for a successful first year.
